Protest!

http://blog.activehack.com/?p=169#more-169

Mainstream medias didn't publish this at all in Malaysia.
I wonder why. Is there such thing called freedom of speech anymore in Malaysia?
Maybe the protestors were a bit off-topic when shouting "reformasi" and all..
But the point is, why hide it from the whole country? Why pressure the media companies and threaten them to make sure no such news are published in the newspapers/televisions?

I am not a political person. I am not rooting for any political party, be it BN, PAS, DAP, KEADILAN, or what-so-ever.

Here in Australia, a lot of rallies are held in the city of Melbourne. rally of supporting Iraq, Rally about sending troops of Iraq, rally against VSU, rally for the refugees and so on. And in the rally, they address the issue (read: ADDRESS THE ISSUE).

The organisor of the rally should be very organised in advising people to not go off the topic. The main issue in that particular rally was about the increase price of fuel. When people go ballistic over 3-4 issues at once, it defeats the purpose.

I am well aware of the so called 'beatings' by the police/FRU. And that's where I am curios and am wondering why the medias did not show anything about this rally AT ALL the next day. Isn't it obvious that the medias are being TOO BIASED? Or are they being OPPRESSED by the you-know-who? Ah well, I think we are smart enough to think.

" For example, govt. has been granting vast amount of money to various organisations to "cover-up" for expenses paying you bumiputera kids to study abroad" - Cover up? I'm sure that the information regarding expenses of supporting Malaysian students abroad is open to all. Everything is give and take. Yes, you say our education is sponsored. But we had to work very hard to receive our scholarships. Furthermore we are tied to our sponsors for some years after completing our tertiary education.

"To some people, they have already chosen the bestest government. and they are happy." - Some people , maybe.. but there is essentially no such thing as a perfect government. There will always be room for improvement. And addressing issues as they arise will make Malaysia a better place to live in for all of us.

Btw.. I'm NOT a bumiputera. And I hate compaq. I'm more of an Acer guy.

Blame who?

http://blog.limkitsiang.com/?p=406#more-406

Thanks Mr/Ms Anonymous for the link. There's nothing much I could comment except that..
A change starts with yourself.
Blaming other people and whining about your own misfortunes will not change anything.

Well said, Akmal - change starts with yourself Wed 12-Apr-2006 01:39

It's so worth the money spent!
Seeing those orange 'tiger' T-shirts entering the court made us scream in excitement.
"Go Malaysia!"... "Malaysia Boleh!" could be heard everywhere.
And the fact that Malaysia won almost all the matches made it so perfect.
I am of course proud to be a Malaysian!

I reached Melbourne around 8.30am, went through the luggage checking and all.. An hour later, I was already out of the arrival exit. And there he was, running towards me grinning cheekily. He quickly said, "You're not going home. I have a surprise for you.."

10 minutes later....

I was in the car with Nad, Mun, Kuchai & Ben... heading to Ballarat! Yippiieee!!! A very nice surprise indeed. I wanted to go to Ballarat since last year. We had fun, mining gold and all. Taking pictures with the 'Ballarat people'.. watching how gold bar was made.. and so much more...

Thanks you guys!!! I had fun!

But I think Kuchai had the most fun though! hahahha...

Happy belated Valentine's Day. Akmal ini macam wine-lah, becomes juicer with passage of time. Cheers. Thu 16-Feb-2006 01:45

OMG!! Mud Choc Cake! Nak Nak Nak..

First, we went to Shah Alam to find kakak a present. She's a bit fussy when it comes to gifts, so it took us quite a while to decide what to give her... hahha, jangan marah aa kak. The tour in Shah Alam ended with empty hands. Nothing seemed to be 'menarik perhatian'.

On her birthday, whilst she went celebrating with Shafri, Wawa, Mimie and I went for another gift-hunting in Warta, Bangi. Jalan punya jalan... we found a beautiful brown kebaya. Alas, the kebaya has defects... so we went to do another round around Warta. Just a few moments later, our eyes caught a glimpse of a green kebaya. Perfect.... I tried it on, since my size is the closest to kakak. Thumbs up! Hooray! Got it. Went to pick up the cake we ordered from Secret Recipe, then we headed home.

That night, we celebrated at Sri Murni Ikan Bakar... Talapia & Patin menjadi habuan. Maka, anak2 Suyat yang serupa la jugak dengan piranha2 Ulu Langat memakannya tanpa ditinggal sedikit daging sekalipun. Hanya tulang2 semata.. Burrpp.. Alhamdulillah...

Happy Birthday, Kakak!!! Wishing you all the best!

Wahh...... all the beautiful maids in a row!
Cheers.
